Preserving Red And White Wine – The Kalorik WCL 20629
Preserving wine is all about maintaining the correct temperature. And clearly the temperature required to preserve red wine is different for white.
So when buying a wine cooling refrigerator, it’s a good idea to opt for what’s called a “dual zone” unit. For example, there’s the Kalorik wcl 20629. In this context, dual zone means there are 2 regions which are able to maintain different temperatures, independent of one another. In this way, a far wider selection of wines can be maintained than by using just one fixed temperature.
On the Kalorik eighteen-bottle wine cooler, the different temperatures are controlled digitally for accuracy. The higher region is built to house white wines, and has a temperature control that ranges from 44 all the way up to 54 degrees Fahrenheit. But this won’t happen with the wcl 20629. That’s because it uses very soft and low power LED lights that gently illuminate without affecting the internal temperature. In fact, the entire wine cooler is very energy efficient, and needs the same power as a seventy-five watt light bulb to function.
Something else that influences the internal temperature of a wine cooler is how well insulated it is. And the door in the Kalorik wine cooler has been carefully created to keep cool air from escaping. It uses both double-paned and reinforced tempered glass to stay as well insulated as possible.
Furthermore, a fan mounted at the back of this thermoelectric wine cooler helps maintain that the digitally-controlled temperature setting is distributed evenly throughout each of the zones.
The Kalorik WCL 20629 effectively combines all 3 of these functions, to help keep wines at just the right temperature. And since it’s fitted with vibration dampening, it operates without making much noise at all, which is even better.
